Stupidity of a President

Since 1952 Egypt had 4 presidents, 3 of them enjoyed popular support. But the most important aspect of their popularity, that they had 2 important features.
  1. Personal Charisma
  2. Big idea or what people can call “Dream”

The current president is the longest serving president in the history of the Egyptian Republic. 26 years, he enjoys no popular support expect within his corrupt ruling party (assuming hypocrisy is called support). He lacks the two aspects that are important to be a leader (Charisma, Big Idea).

Looking at the current president presentation delivery technique, anyone will simply get board (very board). He doesn’t like to go outside his scripted speech, rarely he do and you can see the lack of training very obvious. As he fails with A grade to have any cohesion or linkage of ideas. Moreover, the way he use his body language (especially the hands) is very poor.

The current US president had many issues when he first started, but with coaching, you can see significant change on his presentation delivery techniques. Compared to the Egyptian president, and after 26 years on power, he still fails miserably.

The first Egyptian president (Served for very short time) wanted to have democratic Egypt, with liberal values, the second president wanted to see Egypt with strong economy and powerful military, the third president did liberate Egyptian land, signed a peace treaty and opened the Egyptian economy (regardless of his pitfalls).

The current president simply didn’t do anything, since has no dream or any idea to bring.

For the last 26 years, Egyptian been told that the president support the poor, but the poor now worse than before, the middle class squeezed to the maximum. The rich and corrupt benefited massively from the current regime.

The rule of law in Egypt is nowhere to be seen, you can do anything illegally and nothing will happen to you. Only if you mention politics you may get in trouble. The infrastructure is bit better but still in bad condition considering the amount of money spent over 26 years to fix it. The economy finally started to pick up some steam from foreign investment, but the question remains.

Why the current economic reforms didn’t happen 26 years ago, 20 years ago or even 15 years ago. The president in Egypt got all the powers and he can change or start anything whenever he wants regardless of what the opponents will say.

After 26 years of having stupid president, that has nothing to offer. I think it is time for him to step down.

I do wish the next the president which will come once God remember the people of EgyptEgypt. misery to have big dream for

Egypt has everything to be great country, it has highly educated people. It has people who love their country and willing to work hard for the country to be better. Yes, Egypt doesn’t have massive oil or gas reserves, neither do Japan or Singapore. It is matter of having a leader with a dream and determination to change the current grim face of Egypt.
